ACKNOWLEDGMENT

An Acknowledgement is the act by which a person who has executed the instrument goes before a competent officer and declares it to be his true and voluntary act and deed.

 

Examples of Documents: 

 

  1. Special Power of Attorney / Revocation of Power of Attorney
  2. Letter of Invitation
  3. Authorization Letter
  4. Contracts / Deeds, among others.

 

Requirements:

 

  1. Personal appearance of the person signing the document. Documents must be signed at the Embassy
  2. Original document must be presented
  3. Present original passport or any valid ID 

 

Fees:

 

Regular processing (release the following day)

US$ 25.00 each (or its equivalent amount in COP based on current Embassy exchange rate)

Expedited processing fee (release in the afternoon of the day of filing)

Additional US$ 10.00 each (or its equivalent amount in COP based on current Embassy exchange rate)
