
REACQUISITION / RETENSION OF PHILIPPINE CITIZENSHIP
Eligibility
- Natural-born citizens of the Philippines who have lost their Philippine citizenship by reason of naturalization in a foreign country are eligible to apply for dual citizenship;
- A person must be able to prove their natural-born Philippine citizenship (i.e., citizenship by birth), which may be established by a birth certificate or other legal documents;
- Has not renounced Filipino citizenship.
- Duly accomplished petition form for reacquisition or retention of Philippine citizenship.
- Valid passport (either Philippine or foreign, depending on your case).
- Birth certificate (issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority) as proof of your natural-born Philippine citizenship.
- Naturalization certificate or documents from the foreign country if you were previously naturalized.
- Marriage certificate (if applicable, to prove relationship status).
- Proof of loss of Philippine citizenship (such as the naturalization certificate from the foreign country).
- Other supporting documents or IDs
