PH EMBASSY INAUGURATES CHANCERY

Bogotá, DC — The Philippine Embassy in Bogotá inaugurated its chancery on 4 December 2025, a little over a year since the Philippine government opened an embassy in this capital city on 16 August 2024.
The Philippine Embassy occupies the eight floor of Edificio Torre Los Nogales located along Carrera 11 corner Calle 76 in the Chapinero district of Bogotá.
Ambassador Miguel Angel Rodriguez Melo from the Directorate of Asia, Africa, and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Colombia attended the inauguration. Representatives of the local Filipino community also participated in the event.
Mr. Adrian Bernie Candolada, Philippine Ambassador to Colombia in his welcome remarks emphasized that the presence of the Philippine government in Bogotá signified its firm and strong commitment to further strengthen its relations with Colombia through cooperation across sectors.
In July 2026, the Philippines and Colombia will celebrate 80 years of the establishment of their diplomatic relations.
The Philippine Embassy in Bogotá exercises concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Ecuador and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. -END-
